Família de Messina e Siracusa do século XVIII. De Siracusa, onde era considerada entre as famílias patrícias, foi transplantada para Messina no século XVII e ali, por aliança contraída com as casas Corvaja e Ansalone, obteve o título ducal de Montagnareale, bem como o título nobre de Sorrentino. O título de Duque de Montagnareale vem de Ascanio Ansalone em 1642. A família está inscrita na Lista Oficial de Nobres Italianos com o título de Duque de Montagnareale (mpr.), na pessoa de Luigi, Flaminio, Giuseppe. Filhos: Luigi, Matilde, Emilia e Eugenia. Um Filippo, doutor em leis, foi juiz de Messina em 1681, do tribunal do Consistório em 1684, advogado fiscal do tribunal do Património Real em 1697; um Antonino foi jurado nobre em Siracusa nos anos 1705-6, 1722-23 e capitão da justiça nos anos 1708-709 e 1714-15; um Filippo Vianisi e Bonaiuto foi jurado nobre em Siracusa em 1749-50; outro Philip,
