Scazzosi is present in the area west of Busto Arsizio; Castelletto Mombercelli was once called Castelletto Scazzoso. Additions provided by Giovanni Vezzelli Scazzosi is a surname typical of Milanese. The surname is remembered, in Milan, in 1408, for an Antonius Schazoxius. The Phlechia explained it from ' Scaglioso ', but phonetically suggests either a Latin ' captiosus ', or even a derivative from the common voice ' scarse ' = tilled terrain.
