Abruzzese family, of ancient and noble tradition, which has spread over the centuries in different regions of Italy, with a greater presence in the Roman territory. Cognomination, prior to the 17th century, is a patronymy derived from the compound name Piero and Domenico which belonged to the progenitor. The names of the Pierdomenico are often found in documents and notarial deeds, since the past centuries, from which their high condition appears. We remember: Giovanni, painter and teacher in Piacenza, living in 1511; Jerome, illustrious and learned scientist, at the universities of Naples and Bologna, living in 1851; Ferdinando, major of the XVIII infantry regiment, living in 1870. This family, moreover, to say the Amayden, was certainly included among those collected in the Golden Book of the Capitol. From the bibliography documented on the Vatican manuscripts, the relatively small number of memoirs concerning Roman families can be seen. If we leave out the suspicious sources of Ceccarelli, Fanusio and Metallino, whose fables were partially accepted by Iacovacci, we are left with the vast repertoire of the latter. Noting that there is no Roman nobleman, but there is a large volume in the Secret Archive of the Holy See entitled: 'Families ascribed to the Golden Book of the Capitol'. In fact the book was destroyed by the malevolent action of the time, destroyer of the whole, however we still have news of the list drawn up by order of Benedict XIV, in its constitution Urbem Roman, of January 1746, according to which Pius IX, on May 2, 1853 , ordered the renewal of the Golden Book, done by a Capitoline heraldic congregation. The list of families ascribed to the Golden Book, preserved in the Vatican Archive, is very extensive, since it also embraces patrician families that have been extinct for centuries. The
