Seigneurs de la Combaude, de Pont -Charrat, de Beaupré, de Mollet (aujourd'hui Monlet), des Ignhes, de Gerraighne, D'Aubenas, près Langeac, de Tailhac près Pinols, etc. (Auvergne). Originaires de Montferrand. Connus depuis 1077, anoblis en 1467. On trouve: Guillaume, moine de La Chaise-Dieu (1155); Antoine junior, garde tenant le scel et chancelier de la terre et baronnie d'Allègre, faisant une fondation en sa chapelle de l'église Notre Dame de Mollet pour le repos de son âme, l'an 1490. Noble Claude son fils, sgr. de Mollet et des Inghes, résidait au château de Monlet en 1514. Hugues, frère de Claude, est qualifié, à la même date, conseiller, chambellan de la duchesse d'Auvergne et de Bourbonnais, garde des sceaux de la prévôté de Langeac. D'après Arnaud, noble Louis sgr. de Ferraighne, fut donné comme otage par les habitants du Puy, lors d'une trêve conclue pendant le siège d'Espaly (1575). Un évêque de Laon, puis de Tulle (1360); des conseillers à la Cour des aides; des consuls de Montferrand. Branche de Monlet, éteinte dans la Rocque-Séverac. Branche de Pontcharrat, maintenue en Auvergne (1667), existante. ...
