Henriqueta Van Heck, ambos de Amsterdão, e que, ao serviço da Prússia, foi ministro residente em Portugal de 1751 a 1775. Em Lisboa casou com D. Maria Inácia de Almeida Castelo Branco, filha do brigadeiro Manuel de Almeida Castelo Branco e de sua mulher, D. Helena da Cruz Pinto. Hermano José B. era cavaleiro professo da Ordem de Cristo e fixou-se definitivamente em Portugal. Do seu matrimónio proveio larga geração. Timbre: o esquilo e a prancha do escudo. De Évora: família descendente, por legítima varonia, de Henrique de Matos e de sua mulher Isabel Dias os quais nasceram em Pardilhó, termo de Estarreja, na segunda metade do século XVII. Joaquim-António de Sousa Matos, bisneto dos anteriores, passou a Évora, onde viveu nas suas casas da praça do Giraldo, e foi capitão de Ordenanças vereador da Câmara e importante lavrador, tendo casado, a 18.9.1809, com D.
