El primitivo solar de este linaje estuvo en la villa de Pie de Concha, del Concejo de Bárcena y partido judicial de Torrelavega (Santander). Hubo después otros solares en los lugares de Tezanos, Selaya, Rozada y Llerana, del Valle de Carriedo; en Cabárceno, del Ayuntamiento de Penagos y partido judicial de Santoña; en Santillana, del partido de Torrelavega, y en Santisteban de Carranza (Vizcaya). Se extendió por Castilla y Andalucía, fundando nuevas casas en las ciudades de Guadalajara y Vélez-Málaga. A la casa de Tezanos pertenecieron José y Fernando de la C., caballero de Santiago en 1779 y 1797, respectivamente.
