Nobility crown DuertaEsta familia es originaria de Aragón, de Ricoshombres de mesnada. Fueron Señores de la villa de Horta de San Juan (Tarragona). Artal de Horta poseyó el castillo de Epila, que compró por 100.000 sueldos. Sancho D. asistío a las Cortes de 1165, luchó contra los moros de Cuenca y fué Mayordomo mayor del Rey Don Alfonso deI de Aragón. Guillén D. acompañó al citado Monarca en la batalla de Murel, donde fué muerto el Rey. Este mismo caballero asistió al casamiento del Rey Don Jaime I, el Conquistador, con doña Leonor de Castilla, en 1221. Sancho D. y su hermano García D. asistieron a la conquista de Menorca. Artal D. se halló en la guerra contra los moros de Granada en 1273, y Blas D. estuvo en el desafío de Burdeos. Blasco y Sancho D. fueron a la jura de la Unión de Aragón, verificada en Tarazona en 1283. Otro Artal D. se halló en la toma de Murcia. Su hija doña Martina D. casó con Artal de Luna, y fueron padres del Conde D. Lope de Luna, Señor de Segorbe. Teresa Sánchez D. fué mujer de Rui Ximénez de Luna, Comendador mayor de Montalbán. Sancho D. sirvió al Rey Don Jaime II de Aragón en la entrada que hizo por el reino de Almería en 1309. Artal D., Comendador mayor de Montalbán, asistió a las Cortes de 1311, y Sancho D. fué Alcaide del castillo de Berdejo. ...
