Nobility crown ElgueaTuvo su origen este linaje en el lugar de Elguea (cuyo nombre tomó), del Ayuntamiento de Barrundia y partido judicial de Vitoria. Pasaron a Chile. De dicha casa fué Pedro Ortiz de E., esposo de doña Catalina Migueles de Asilú, fallecidos antes de 1646, ambos naturales de Elguea y padre de Francisco Ortiz de E. Migueles, que sigue. Miguel Ortiz de E. y Migueles, natural de Elguea y avecindado en Santiago de Chile, donde casó con doña Juana Chacón, natural de La Serena. Falleció dicho caballero en Santiago de Chile el 15 de Agosto de 1644, siendo sepultado en la capilla de la Soledad, de la iglesia de San Francisco. Dejó los siguientes hijos Juan de E. y Chacón, natural de Santiago, fallecido antes que su madre. Úrsula de E. y Chacón, natural de Santiago y religiosa de Santa Clara. Juana de E. y Chacón, natural de Santiago y casada allí con Luis Sáenz de Mena, con sucesión. María de E. y Chacón, natural de Santiago y esposa de Gaspar de la Barrera, con sucesión. Miguel de E., hijo natural. María Ortiz de E., también hija natural, mujer de Jorge de Piñoa, de origen portugués; y Josefa de E., asimismo hijo natural, casada con Jerónimo de Bahamondes Guzmán. N. Ortiz de E. y Migueles, agraciado por su hermano Francisco con una donación hecha en el testamento que otorgó en 1654; y Martín de E. y Migueles, vecino del lugar de Osalta, a tres leguas de Vitoria (Álava), donde contrajo matrimonio con doña María Pérez de Iduya, en la que procreó un hijo, que se llamó Pedro Ortiz de E. ...
