Radicaron en Álava, Guipúzcoa y Vizcaya. En Álava hubo dos casas de I. , en la villa de Llodio, del partido judicial de Amurrio, y otra en el lugar de Astoviza, del Ayuntamiento de Lezama, en el mismo partido judicial de Amurrio. En Guipúzcoa tuvieron los de este apellido solares en la jurisdicción de la villa de Urnieta, en Irún y en Fuenterrabía, del partido judicial de San Sebastián; en Lazcano, del partido judicial de Tolosa; en Vergara y en Elgueta, Placencia, Ojirondo y Zumárraga, del partido judicial de Vergara. En Vizcaya radicó una casa de I., en Mungía, del partido judicial de Marquina. De la casa alavesa de Llodio descendió Diego de I. y Androsa, Caballero de Alcántara, en 1685. De la también casa alavesa del lugar de Astoviza, dimanó una línea que pasó a Haro (Logroño). La casa de Urneita fué según Lizaso, una de las originarias, antiguas y pobladoras de Guipúzcoa. Las casa de Fuenterrabiá e Irún se hallaban en las montañas próximas a dichas localidades. Una de las casas de Vergara, se llamó I.-Eheaudi y estaba cercana a Santa Marina. Fué hijo de ella el Licenciado Matías de I. Vegara, Arcediano de Orense. Siendo mozo, había sido criado de don Juan de Austria, y en su servicio se halló en la batalla de Lepanto. Su hermano García Fernández de I. fué el Secretario más antiguo de la Inquisición en Toledo y Murcia. Aunque radicó en Ermúa, en 1718, descendió también de la misma casa Mateo de I. y Eguren, Comandante de las Milicias de Panamá. ...
