L'ordine Gerosolimitano dal principio del secolo XVII annoverò dei Miniscalchi fra i Commendatori e Cavalieri di Giustizia. Giulio, figlio di Leonardo, per grandi benemerenze verso la Repubblica Veneta nel 1571 fu creato cavaliere dal doge Alvise Mocenigo e con diploma 12 novembre 1618 che accenna ad antica nobiltà, il doge Antonio Priuli innalzava Alvise, Marcantonio ed Attilio con tutti i discendenti alla dignità di conte di San Zeno in Mozzo, investendoli del Vicariato il 29 marzo 1627 ed iscrivendoli nell'A.L.T. Alcuni membri di questa familgia furono condottieri della Repubblica veneta. Il conte Luigi si distinse come scienziato, sposò la principessa Marianna Erizzo ultima discendente dell'illustre famiglia, ed il figlio Francesco, eletto senatore del Regno nel 1866, fu celebre geografo e conoscitore profondo di lingue orientali; i suoi studi sono tuttora molto apprezzati. ...
