Non si esclude, per l'identicità dell'arma, che sia un ramo dei Guiducci, famiglia nobile fiorentina che ricoprì il Priorato ben 34 volte ed il gonfalonierato per ben 12 volte. Rappresentati della nobile Casata Guiducci interagirono, infatti, per cariche a Sansepolcro, a Chiusi e in Arezzo, patria proprio dei Monnanni. Ad ogni buon fine i Monnanni dettero personaggi eccellenti per meriti di governo, pastorali e militari. Virgilio, di Paolo, fu Rettore della Chiesa di San Biagio nel 1530, Presentino di Valerio ricoprì la carica di Camerlengo di Arezzo tra il 1622 e il 1623; lo stesso fece suo nipote Aurelio per ben due volte, tra il 1672 e il 1673 la prima, e tra il 1682 e il 1683 la seconda. Annibale, di Ruggiero, militare, fu buon compositore ed autore di un sonetto dedicato alle gesta del Granduca di Toscana in occasione della sconfitta dell'esercito dei Barberini, nel 1643.
