Cette maison possédait la vicairie de Ste-Catherine dans l'église de St-Julien de Brioude. Alexandre, chevalier, seigneur d'Orsonnette, capitaine de cavalerie (fils de Hugues et de Marguerite de Boisset de la Salle, dame d'Auzat sur Allier), fut marié 3 fois: 1° le 4 mars 1639 à Madeleine de Torsiac d'où: a) Françoise alliée à Louis de Verdonnet seigneur du Cendre; b) Marguerite alliée le 28 novembre 1675 à Isaac de Pélacot de la Rousse; 2° le 24 janvier 1653, à Allègre, à Jacqueline Mozac de Beaurecoeuil (veuve de Jacques de la Colombe de la Chapelle seigneur de la Guilhaumie), d'où: a) Joseph Montservier seigneur d'Orsonnette, marié à Marie-Anne Rollet, d'où: Madeleine alliée le 11 juin 1751 à Gaspard de Reynaud de Monts baron de St-Pal-en-Chalencon, mosquetaire noir, etc.; b) Louis Montservier seigneur d'Orsonnette marié à Gillette Bard de la Borie; c) Catherine marié le 19 juillet 1696 à Barthélemy Grellet seigneur de la Marconnerie et de la baronnie de la Deyte; 3° le 13 juin 1675, à Madeleine de Pouzouls d'où: Jean-Chrysostome marié à Jeanne Buisson dame de Chadernat. On trouve encore sous ce nom: dix chanoines-comtes du noble chapitre de Brioude (1330-1593); des hommes d'armes; un châtelain de Neschers (1442); un capitaine de 300 hommes de pied (1550-1595); des capitaines de cavalerie, gardes du corps et mousquetaires de la garde du roi, etc. Covoquée à l'arrière-ban de la noblesse d'Auvergne (1635).
