Leur fils, Jean Ponchon seigneur des Brus, de Rohac, d'Aujac, lieutenant-principal en la sénéchaussée du Puy, épousa le 7 novembre 1563 Madeleine de Fretat, d'où: Jean Ponchon, juge-mage du Velay (1580), qui testa le 17 juillet 1595. François, frère du précédent, devint juge en la cour royale du Velay et épousa: 1° Louise Jourdain d'où: Jean, père de Gabrielle mariée à Pierre Bernard, seigneur de Javaloux; 2° le 26 janvier 1613, Françoise de Bertrand, d'où: noble Claude, allié en 1643 à Bonne Ranquet de Mauriac et Marguerite mariée à Jean Parand, seigneur d'Oyde.
