Nobility crown SilleroLas noticias que tenemos de este apellido acusan que es una variante española del de Sellier, en los Países Bajos, donde ya florecía por los años de 1351 una familia patricia de Cambray así apellidada. En aquellas tiempos era Teniente de Gobernador de San Quintín Simón de Sellier, que casó con doña Agueda Vudart y procrearon a otro Simón y Guy Sellier. En 1422, Juan Sellier desempeñaba en Cambray el cargo de Gran Preboste, que equivalía al de Juez ordinario de la casa del Monarca, conociendo de todos los asuntos civiles y criminales, y en 1440 tenía el mismo empleo Enrique de Sellier. Doña Beatriz de Sellier, hija de Gilles Sellier y nieta de Guillermo Sellier, casó con Juan Cretón, escribano de Cambray (hijo de Juan Cretón, Consejero y Tesorero del Concde de Liney) y de ese enlace nació Juan Cretón de Sellier, bautizado en la Abadía de San Alberto en 1454. Ramas de esa familia pasaron a Inglaterra, Francia y España. La que se estableció en España perdura en el primer tercio del pasado siglo, y castellanizó el apellido convirtiéndolo en el de S. De esta ama española fué Cristóbal de S., caballero notorio y marido de doña Antonia Serrano, de quien tuvo a Cristóbal de S. y Serrano, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Juana González Berrocal, naciendo de este enlace Juan de S. Berrocal, que casó con doña Josefa Muñoz de Arjona y fueron padres de Juan de S. Muñoz, que probó su hidalguía en el año 1769. Casó con doña Paula Llamas y Castilla. Fueron pasdres de Josefa de S. y Llamas. Otra casa muy antigua. Juan Martín S. de la Bastarda,. natural de Trujillo, hijo de Juan Martín y de Juana Sánchez, con su mujer Inés Cervera, natural de Trujillo, hija de Hernando de Escobar y de Inés Alonso Cervera, emprendió viaje desde Sevilla al Perú para hacerse cargo de la herencia de su tío muerto sin descendencia el 5 junio 1578, partió el 12 enero 1579 y una vez en su destino participó en la política y ocupó el cargo de Oidor acumulando una ...
