Nobility crown TresseniEsisteva questa famiglia anche in Lodi vecchio, ed ebbe il singolar privilegio di batter moneta. Oltrado e Gabrio podestà di Milano, il primo nel 1237, l'altro nel 1280; Martino capitano dei Lodigiani nel 1183; Alberto console di Lodi nel 1207; Leonardo decurione nel 1480. Divisa in due rami, questa famiglia passò a Piacenza ed a Vicenza, ove tuttora fiorisce fra quelle nobiltà. Numerosi autori della famiglia descrissero eventi e personaggi, attribuirono ad essa varie origini senza alcuna valida attestazione. La moderna critica storica ha, sulla scorta sicura dei documenti, fatto ragione delle artificiose ricostruzioni genealogiche di quegli scrittori che, per compiacente spirito d'adulazione, pretesero far discendere questa famiglia da nobili e antiche prosapie come quella di altre famiglie.
