Verso la fine del XIII secolo la famiglia Siliconi apparteneva alle più nobili di Torino e godeva particolari privilegi. Jacopo nel 1196 era tra consoli di Torino, e Giovanni referendario nel 1334. L'ospizio dei Siliconi apparteneva alla fazione dei Ghibellini e in quell'anno, coi Zucca, loro aderenti, presero parte ad una congiura contro il principe Filippo d'Acaia, ai cui stipendi militava Pietro Siliconi, che fece pur parte dei congiurati, contro di lui stesso. Scopertasi la trama, fu posto a confine insieme con Bertoletto a Moncalieri, a questo violato, furono ambedue nel 1338 decapitati. Da loro aveva preso nome un luogo detto Valle a mezzodì di Torino, ed avevano pur giurisdizione su Cavoretto. Altro ramo.
