Blasone della famiglia Reali in Gubbio. Fonte bibliografica: "Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane estinte e fiorenti", compilato dal Comm. G.B. di Crollalanza, edito presso la direzione del giornale araldico, Pisa 1888. Note: Detti anche Suppolini, conti di Casacastalda e di Compresseto, furono nel XIII fra le famiglie guelfe di Gubbio. I fratelli Monaldo e Guido, nella prima metà di detto secolo, furono tra que' nobili guelfi che tradirono la patria, assoggettandola al Comune di Perugia a fine di evitare che i loro castelli fossero occupati dai ghibellini prevalenti in Gubbio. Ma risaliti i guelfi al potere, Suppolino fu fatto giudice della città nel 1284. Suppolino ed Orlandino Reali si trovano, nel 1294, tra i nobili che prestarono giuramento alla S. Sede; Bonizzello podestà di Firenze nel 1311; Pier-Reale gonfaloniere di giustizia in patria nel 1516 e nel 1524; ed un altro omonimo sostenne la stessa carica nel 1527. — Pier-Reale de'Reali di Suppolino fu zecchiere a Perugia e a Gubbio durante il pontificato di Leone X, e poscia a Fabriano.
