Un suo nipote Pietro di Bernardino (1693-1762) fu valente matematico e idraulico ed anche buon letterato; un altro Pietro (1768-1842), nipote di quest'ultimo, fu anche'esso matematico ed idraulico insigne, consigliere di Stato del duca Francesco IV per la pubblica Economia e per la Istruzione, ed ebbe da suo sovrano per le sue benemerenze il titolo di conte trasmissibile a tutti i discendenti maschi (Decreto 10 luglio 1818) con facoltà' di associare al proprio anche il cognome di Marescotti. ...
