Nobility crown AmatNoblesse originaire de Vantavon en Dauphiné, fixée en Auvergne le 2 mars 1655, par le mariage d'Alexandre écuyer, seigneur du Plan, avec Antoinette d'Aurelle, fille de Jean et de Jacqueline de Vertamy. Les preuves de noblesse de cette maison maintenue en Velay le 22 mars 1666, se trouvent dans les archives du château de Monts près Arlanc et établissent infailliblement son origine du Dauphiné. Elle fut possessionnée de la seigneurie de Pontempeyrat, par acquisition à la fin du XVIIème siècle des d'Aurelle de Terreneyre. Un prieur de Saint-Jean d'Aubrigoux, bachelier en théologie, coseigneur des Farges au XVIIème siècle. A une autre branche appartenait: Jean-Baptiste né le 16 juillet 1748, (fils de François notaire royal, lieutenant de justice, et de Marguerite Teisset), qui devint notaire et greffier de justice de paix de Saint-Ilpize. Sa postérité est encore représenté à Paris. Il paraît difficile que Pons premier consul du Puy en 1246, puisse être rattaché à cette famille. Autre branche: Jeannette, déguerpie (veuve) de Jean de l'Isle, réformation de 1427, dite paroisse de Langoat; un capitaine de la Roche-Derrien en 1490, marié à Alice Peillac. Arme primitive de cette famille: de gueules, à un senestrochère armé, mouvant d'une nuée d'argent, tenant une épée de même garnie d'or. ...
