Nobility crown AneroLinaje de hijosdalgo de la antigua Merindad de Trasmiera, en la provincia de Santander. Tenía su casa solar en el lugar de A. (cuyo nombre tomó), hoy parteneciente al Ayuntamiento de Ribamontán, partido judicial de Santoña. Individuos de esa casa tomaron parte en la conquista de Granada. Uno de ellos, llamado Mendo A., ganó allí nuevas armas, que continuaron usando sus descendientes, en sustitución de las primitivas del linaje. Algunos de los sucesores de ese Mendo se establecieron en Aranda de Duero (Burgos). Luego pasaron a Valladolid. Francisco de A. figuró en 1633 entre los caballeros hijosdalgo recibidos en el Estado Noble de Madrid, y que entraron en suertes, ejerciendo los cargos del Ayuntamiento. Armas: alias, en gules, un brazo moviente del flanco siniestro, armado, de plata, y empuñando una espada desnuda, con la punta hacia arriba, y clavada en ella una cabeza de moro, de sable; la espada tiene la hoja de plata, y la guarnición de oro. ...
