Tuvo su primitivo solar en la villa de Aragüés del Puerto (cuyo nombre tomó), del partido judicial de Jaca, provincia de Huesca, y se extendió por otros puntos de Aragón. Una rama pasó a Navarra y se estableció en la villa de Valtierra, del partido judicial de Tudela. Otra pasó a la Rioja y tuvo casa en Nájera.
