Nobility crown ArnaudCette famille est connue dès le XIVème siècle aux environs d'Annonay. On trouve son nom écrit: Arnould, Arnoul, Arnulphi ou Arnaud. Les Arnould habitaient Annonay, Savas et Serrières; ils étaient nobles et riches. Le premier connu est Guillaume Arnoul qui rendit hommage, le 1er juillet 1398, à Humbert de Mein. En 1401, Jean et Pierre d'Arnoul, l'un et lautre religieux de St-Pierre de Vienne, vendirent à un notaie d'Annonay, nommé Dorne, une maison leur appartenant audiot Annonay. En 1427, Louis Arnoul était bailli et capitaine d'Annonay, il portait les qualités de noble, de puissant homme et de chevalier. Il testa le 12 août 1440. En 1490, noble homme Gilles d'Arnoul, écuyer était seigneur de Mein. Noble Imbert d'Arnoul, seigneur de Savas, vendit une terre près d'Annonay à Pierre Baunnat. André d'Arnoul, seigneur de Savas avait épousé Louise de Gurin, d'Annonay. En 1493, noble Albert d'arnoul, écuyer, seigneur de Savas, paroisse de Saint-Julien-en-Goye, mandement de Gourdan, vendit une maison qu'il avait à Annonay, mouvante de la directe de noble Claude de Gurin. En 1563, noble Jean Arnoud était veuf de Jeanne Esconnelle, du lieu des Solliers, mandement d'Annonay. Cette famille finit en la personne de Magdeleine d'Arnould, dame du Mein, fille de Hector d'Arnould qui mourut en 1543. Elle épousa noble Imbert d'Angères duquel elle ne laissa qu'un fils d'Angères qui mourut jeune; mort par laquelle la terre du mein et les autres biens de cette famille passèrent à la maison d'Angères. ...
