Nobility crown AschieroAncient and noble Italian family from Susa, nowadays town and municipality in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. The family, known as Aschieri, Aschiero or Aschero, had the following noble titles: Lords of Giaglione, Mattie, Meana, Gravere, Borgone, Foresto, S. Giorio, Susa, Alberetto, Fiano, Bussoleno, Gorretto; Co-Lords of Susa, Villarfocchiardo. Among the most illustrious families of Susa, its members became famous and admired throughout the valley, for having fertilized a vast uncultivated territory with the famous Giaglione canal. From this family was born Vincenzo Aschieri, prior and abbot of Novalesa from 1399 to 1452. Also belonged to this family Lorenzo, of Gaspare, co-lord of Giaglione, ambassador of the Duke to the Catholic king. Another Aschieri or Aschiero family flourished in Fossano, Piedmont.
