Nobility crown AssoÁvalos de la Picina dice en la "Crónica de Navarra" que este linaje se fundó en Aragón en tiempos del Rey Sancho García. Debe proceder del lugar de Aso de Sobremonte (cuyo nombre tomó), del partido judicial de Jaca y provincia de Huesca, y desde muy antiguo radicó una casa solariega en el lugar de La Muela, Ayuntamiento de El Pueyo de Araguás, partido judicial de Boltaña (Huesca). Otra rama fundó casa solar en el lugar de Sasal, del partido judicial de Jaca y otra rama se estableció en la villa de Biescas, del mismo partido. Juan de A., en 1411, se opuso, con otros caballeros, a la proclamación, como Rey de Aragón, de Fernando el de Antequera. Pedro Martín y Juan de A. asistieron a las Cortes de Zaragoza de 1446; otro Pedro A. asistió a las de 1495. Martín de A. fué vecino de Biescas en 1582. Matías de A., natural del solar de La Muela, fué Obispo de Huesca, y Francisco Malaquías de A., de la misma casa, religioso Bernardo y Obispo de Jaca. Edificó una capilla en la iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Portillo, de Zaragoza. A la casa solar del lugar de Sasal perteneció Miguel de A., natural de Sasal, que de su esposa, doña Orosia de Ara, natural de Ara, tuvo a Miguel de A., segundo del nombre, natural de Sasal, que casó con doña Francisca Osanz, natural de Villanúa, y fueron padres de Mateo de A., natural de Sasal, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Benita Bergosa, natural de Jaca, naciendo de esa unión Bartolomé de A. y Bergosa, natural de Sasal, Canónigo de la catedral de Jaca. ...
