Antica ed assai nobile stirpe del Settentrione d'Italia, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La famiglia Bellocchio trovasi tra le decurionali della città di Pavia sin da tempi antichissimi. Un Isnardo Bellocchio, infatti, venne confermato decurione nell'anno 1549 da Carlo V. Già due secoli prima essa era annoverata tra le patrizie di detta terra ed i suoi esponenti ebbero importanti cariche anche fuori dai confini della propria patria come quel Bellocchio che fu giudice generale del Piemonte nel secolo XIV. Francesco Bellocchio, figlio del giureconsulto collegiato e decurione Giuseppe, fu riconosciuto nell'antica nobiltà con sovrana risoluzione 28 gennaio 1817 unitamente a Nicola, decurione della città di Pavia, con sovrana risoluzione austriaca. Con decreto ministeriale il detto Francesco ottenne poi il riconoscimento per sé e discendenti maschi del titolo di "patrizio di Pavia" del titolo di "nobile" per mf. e del trattamento di ...
