Ancient and noble Italian family, originally from the Varese area, Lombardy region, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the the centuries. This House gave its name to the homonymous district of the city of Varese, an ancient rural village of Celtic origin that was an independent municipality until 1927, when it was merged in Varese following the elevation of the Bosina city to the capital of the homonymous province. Its progenitor is a Pietro Luigi, father of Antonio, cubiculary of Pope Pius IV, and of Francesco, whose son Giovanni Battista founded a chapel of patronage in the church of the nuns of S.
