Doña Jerónima de B. y Monteverde, Señora de los Feudos y Estedos de Wesembec y Ophen en Flandes, era hija primogénita de Don Jerónimo de B., Regidor de Bruselas, Señor de Wesembec y Ophen y Maestre de Campo de Infantería española y de Doña Jácoma de Monteverde Roberta de Monserrat Benavente Cabeza de Vaca, su segunda mujer, de la nobilísima Casa flamenca de Groenenberg, Señores de Benecis-Quatemart. Era también nieta paterna de Jerónimo de B., Secretario de Supremo Consejo de Brabante y de su mujer Isabel Cochaerts Van París Asshe y Van Effen, todas familias muy nobles de Flandes y bisnieta de Juan B. y Catalina Sweerts Dangel, una de las siete familias patricias de Bruselas.
