Nobility crown BrambillaAlte und sehr edle Familie von Mailand, ursprünglich aus dem Brambilla-Tal im Bergamasco, nach dem es benannt wurde, wie es laut dem Genealogen Giovanni Battista di Crollalanza sein sollte, anders als das, was Spreti, ein Zweig der berühmten Linie der Carminati, einst sehr mächtig im selben Tal. Ein Bartolomeo Carminati verließ 1443 auf Befehl der Republik Serenissima das Brambilla-Tal. Er war ein großer Sohn von Giovanni Francesco (gestorben 1599), 1577 Abgeordneter der Fabbrica del Duomo, der wiederum der Großvater von Carlo (1606-1663) war, dem Kapitän der städtischen Miliz. Von Giulio Cesare (1632-1673) wurde Gerolamo (1658-1699) geboren, Rechtsberater, Prätor von Vigogna und Lesa, Vater eines anderen Giulio Cesare (1685-1755), der 1721 in das Mailänder Patriziat aufgenommen wurde. Von seinem Onkel mütterlicherseits, Fabio Mangino, erbte er a Geburtsrecht, zu dem das Stammhaus in Mailand in der Via di Brera und die Villa Castellana in der Nähe von Legnano gehörten.
