Nobility crown BressolesLes auteurs signalent deux familles de cette nom existant au XIVème siècle, l'une en Bourbonnais, l'autre en Auvergne, aux environs de Blesle. Cette dernière se fondit, au commencement du XVéme siècle, dans la maison de Combres. Nous ignorons si on peut rattacher la famille du Gévaudan à l'une ou à l'autre de ces familles. Quoi qu'il en soit, on les trouve à Mende dèe le début du XVème siècle, jouant un rôle important, et revêtus, maintes fois, des honneurs consulaires. Pierre fut syndic de Mende en 1427-1428-1438. En 1435, il transigea avec le seigneur de Corsac. Louis, probablement fils de Pierre, fut un gentilhomme d'humeur difficile. En 1463, il fut excommunité pour avoir frappé jusqu'au sang un individu dans la cathédrale. En 1470, il fut l'un des adversaires les plus violents de l'évêque Antoine de la Panouse, lors de ses démêlés avec les habitants de Mende. Sa femme, prénommée Astrugue, mourut en 1467. Il fut probablement père de Jean, damoiseau, vivant à Mende en 1492, qui fut lieutenant en la justice du bailliage de Gévaudan. Titres nobiliaires de cette famille: anobli en 1525, extraction simple (famille dont la filiation noble prouvée ne dépasse pas le XVIème siècle). ...
