Nobility crown BrunengaFamiglia cagliaritana di origine ligure le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XVI. Erano mercanti e si occupavano dello sfruttamento delle tonnare; agli inizi del secolo XVII avevano raggiunto una considerevole posizione economica. Uno Stefano sposò una Rocamarti e nel 1643 fu ammesso allo stamento militare durante il Parlamento Avellano. Nel 1651 egli acquistò la tonnara di Portopaglia ed ottenne il cavalierato ereditario e la nobiltà. Nel 1670 suo figlio Francesco Acquistò, all'asta dei feudi confiscati agli Zatrillas, la contea di Cuglieri che però suo figlio Domenico Giovanni rivendette ai Genovesi nel 1706. Lo stesso Domenico Giovanni nel 1712 ebbe riconosciuta dal fisco l'eredità della contea di Monteleone come unico erede per via femminile dei Rocamarti. Nel 1746 Gavino figlio di Domenico Giovanni, acquistò dal fisco le signorie di Serdiana e Donori, sui due feudi ebbe il titolo di marchese di San Saverio.
