Nobility crown BuarelloVon der berühmten Familie Geremei erhielt es seinen Namen von einem Buvalello, Onkel von Baruffaldino, dem Anführer der Kreuzfahrer im 12. Jahrhundert. Gegen Ende und zu Beginn des folgenden Jahrhunderts hatten die Buvalelli viermal das Konsulat in ihrer Heimat inne und waren bis 1368 Älteste. Als Partisanen ihrer Gemahlinnen kämpften sie 1248 mit den Lambertazzis. Der berühmte Troubadour Rambertino und Lamb Ertino, manchmal auch Buarello oder Bovarello genannt, hinterließ mehrere Lieder in provenzalischen Reimen. Er war nicht nur ein Dichter, sondern auch ein geschickter Politiker und ein kluger Verwalter, weshalb er 1201 zum Prätor in Brescia und dann zum Podestà in Mailand, Mantua und Parma ernannt wurde und die Milizen der letzteren Stadt nach Pontedusolo führte, um sich an Vicedomini aus Parma zu rächen, die in einem Hinterhalt getötet worden waren, während er Podestà von Modena war.
