Tali gesta gli meritarono nel 1696 il titolo di soprintendente di quella, fortezza e di cavaliere di S. Marco. Altre sue insigni azioni di guerra compiute in Dalmazia, Albania, Bosnia ed Erzegovina indussero il Senato Veneto il 9 luglio 1701 a investirlo di beni feudali retti e legali sul territorio da lui conquistato dai Turchi nei dintorni di Castelnuovo e a conferirgli con ducale 12 maggio 1703 il titolo di conte.
