Nobility crown BusiniAntica e nobilissima famiglia Toscana, originaria della città di Firenze, quartiere Santa Croce e gonfalone Lion nero, di chiara e avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia e del Mondo. Tal illustre casata ha dato alla propria patria ben due gonfalonieri e ventotto priori tra il 1345 ed il 1524, primo dei quali fu Bese, di Busino, di Donato. Nel 1423, i Busini hanno acquistato la villa che da loro ha tratto il nome, una dimora signorile circondata da boschi, vigne e campi di ulivi, in una posizione panoramica dominante la Val di Sieve. Gli esponenti di tal casato hanno rivestito cariche pubbliche sin dal XIV secolo, fino al XVII. Francesco, di Antonio, fu podestà di Buggiano e, sotto il dominio dei Medici, fece parte del Consiglio dei duecento, alla istituzione di quella magistratura nel 1532. D'azzurro, a tre fasce increspate d'oro, e alla banda attraversante di rosso, caricata di tre rose d'argento.

Blasone della famiglia Busini nobile in Firenze, Santa Croce, Lion nero; fonte: "Raccolta Ceramelli Papiani" custodita presso l'archivio di stato di Firenze fasc.1066. Si tratta di due esecuzioni dello stesso stemma. In alcuni esemplari tratti dalle Podesterie (Manoscritto 476), invece del fasciato compare un bandato increspato, ma forse per errore. Sullo stemma di Francesco Busini, podestà di Buggiano nel 1516, appare nella parte superiore un bue, arma della località.
