Nobility crown CampagnaOriginally, as Galluppi said, from Verona; he enjoyed nobility in Messina, in which city many members of this family dressed the senatorial toga and were ascribed to the noble arch-brotherhood of Pace e Bianchi, of which they also held the government. A Niccolò, from Messina, obtained the grant of two annual onze in 1362, on the proceeds from the gabelles and the rights of the Messina secrecy; an Antonio was judge of the Straticoziale court of said city in 1421-22; a Melchiorre was judge of the consistory court in 1673, judge of the Criminal Court 1683 and 1689; a Francesco, doctor of laws, was councilor of the silk consulate of Messina 1714; a Tommaso, as the son of Beatrice Umano, was baron of Migliardo 1735, a title that the daughter of said Tommaso in the name of Beatrice brought into the Donato house. The nobility of the family was also recognized with the resolution of the Royal Commission of the titles of nobility of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies of 2 October 1848.
