Petroncino servì il Marchese Nicolò III, Gherardo fu podestà di Modena, Roberto erudito archeologo del XVI secolo. Un ramo di questa famiglia è pur fiorito in Firenze. Appartennero al Consiglio dei Savi: Alessandro nel 1643; Paris nel 1654. Questi fu capitano del Presidio della cittadella di Roccafranca e Comandante della Rocca di Sassuolo; Antonio, di Paris, nel 1686 ed il di lui figlio Paris nel 1700; Girolamo nel 1747; Luigi nel 1768. Da Girolamo (1546-1611) e da Margherita Montechiesi, nacque Giacomo (1595-1654) che sposò Margherita Bertolazzi ed ebbe Marcantonio (1647-1725) che da Antonia Masi ebbe altro Girolamo (1704-1770).
