Il Conte Alessandro morto nel 1813 possedeva una moneta d'oro che portava il nome di Pietro Senatore di Roma nel 1252. un Iacobello di Gian Paolo e un Paolo furono pure Senatori il primo nel 1375 e il secondo nel 1512. Nella costituzione Urbem Romam, questa famiglia figura fra le 60 coscritte nel suo capo Mario a cui successe suo figlio Alessandro con decreto del Senato del 30 dicembre 1760; morto Alessandro venne noominato nobile coscritto il di lui figlio Galeazzo il 25 Gennaio 1785 a cui successe Alessandro figlio di Galeazzo con Senatus Consulto del 4 giugno 1804. Quest'Alessandro morì senza figli ill 17 febbraio 1813, e così rimase estinta questa illustre famiglia. Signora di molti castelli, e fregiata del titolo baronale.
