Nobility crown CappelliI Cappelli sono originari di S. Pietro a Sieve nel Mugello. Si dissero più anticamente Truffoli, quindi Cappelli. Ottennero per diciotto volte il priorato tra il 1326 e il 1515. Nel 1433 Giovanni, di Filippo, fu deputato ambasciatore e sindaco ai Senesi per ricevere da essi alcune castella che dovevano vendere alla repubblica. Francesco fu ambasciatore ad Ancona nel 1180 e a Roma nel 1500. Luigi, di Barone, fu capitano di Volterra nel 1528, e Filippo fu gonfaloniere. Il Direttore della R. Dogana di Livorno Anton Domenico Cappelli (nato nel 1771), di Giuseppe, di altro Anton Domenico, aveva chiesto il 17 luglio 1828, insieme al fratello, Giovan Francesco, Ministro degli Atti dell'Uffizio del Registro, l'ascrizione al Patriziato Fiorentino, che veniva sancita con Sovrano Rescritto 25 luglio 1828. Con deliberazione del 9 agosto 1832 la Magistratura Civica di Livorno proponeva l'aggregazione del predetto Anton Domenico al ceto nobile di quella città; ...
