Ich wollte, dass Zondoz so ein Ramondo-Volk war, Cousin von König Ludwig dem Eroberer, der einer der zwölf tapferen Kapitäne war, die Katalonien von den Mauren befreiten. Aus diesem Grund wurde das Land Cardona mit dem Titel Viscount und seine Nachkommen durch dialektale Modifikationen dieses Toponyms Cardona genannt. Diese Familie ging 1282 mit König Pietro von Aragon nach Sizilien und kam mit Alfons I. von Aragon nach Neapel.
