Nobility crown CastiAlte und sehr edle spanische Familie von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, die in zwei Hauptzweige unterteilt ist: einer in Istrien und anschließend in Venetien und Friaul, der andere zuerst im Piemont und anschließend im Staat Päpstlich. Der istrische Zweig kam dort im zehnten dritten Jahrhundert an und hieß Castri, Castris oder de Castro. Dieser Zweig genoss den Marquisattitel aufgrund des Marquisats von Castignolo "sive Albucano", das ab 1212 sein Lehen als Patriarch war und 1334 auch von Venedig anerkannt und bestätigt wurde. Viele tapfere Krieger kamen aus dieser Prosapia, die auch in Venetien edel blühte. Der nach Piemont übergegangene Zweig der Casti erscheint dort seit dem zehnten sechsten Jahrhundert. Als einfache Landbesitzer zeichneten sich die Casti insbesondere durch die Ausübung liberaler Berufe und durch militärische Kunst aus. Wir erinnern uns: Gio.
