Nobility crown CervettoAntica ed assai nobile famiglia di Genova, originaria di Sestri Levante, di chiara ed avita virtù, detta Cervetti o Cervetto, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia e d'Europa, con insediamenti più cospicui in territorio spagnolo. La chiara nobiltà della famiglia risulta confermata dalla sua presenza nello stemmario di Giovanni Andrea Musso; la famiglia è anche annoverata dal Crollalanza, nei volumi del suo "Dizionario Storico-Blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane, estinte e fiorenti". Giacomo Maria, del fu Girolamo, fu il primo ascritto in qualità di nobile, nel 1596. Lo stesso fu anche senatore nel 1608, nel 1610 e nel 1629. Un altro Giacomo Maria, del fu Carlo, fu senatore nel 1713 e nel 1721. Il Rivarola, nella sua "Descrizione Storica della Repubblica di Genova", riporta la seguente genealogia: Don Domenico, che si sposò con donna Maria Pellegrina Carminati, in Genova, da cui ebbe Don Giuseppe Maria Cervetto ...
