Nobility crown ChiappiniFino dal 1400 questa famiglia era stabilita nel territorio Piacentino. Nel 1475 i Chiappini figurano nelle fazioni dei Costerbosa e dei Platoni nel Borgotarese. Nel secolo successivo figurano largamente censiti nei territori di Caorso e di Cortemaggiore. Rami di questa famiglia esistevano a Roma e a Firenze, ove avevano sepolture gentilizie rispettivamente nelle chiese dei Santi Apostoli e della Madonna del Carmine. Capostipite del ramo di Piacenza fu Pietro Andrea, padre di Marco Antonio. Fu questi notaio dei duchi Farnesi Edoardo e Ranunzio II, procuratore ai beni e cancelliere della camera duale. Sposò la nobil donna Giustina dei conti Riva, da cui ebbe Bartolomeo Francesco (1601-1658) esso pure notaio e cancelliere della camera ducale. Dal matrimonio di questi con Antonia Maria Malagamba nacquero dodici figli, fra cui, Francesco, che fu abate lateranense col nome di padre Atanasio ed Alessandro, dottore in legggi, auditore criminale e poscia presidente della camera ...
