Ne chiariscono ciò i nostri Santi Martiri Alfio, Filadelfo, e Cirini che furono parimente Guasconi, e morirono in Sicilia in Leontini, nell'Impero di Decio, e sotto il governo di Tertillo, Presidente di Sicilia nel 252 del Signore: nati in Guascorgna di nobilissimo sangue. Di maniera che agevolmente si può comprendere, che da questo cavaliere avesse preso l'origine, ed il cognome insieme la famiglia Cirini. Susseguente a questo leggiamo di Eustachio, che fu Capitano di giustizia della Provincia d'Abruzzo nel reggimento del Re buon Guglielmo, e dopo di Theobaldo, Camariero del Re Carlo d'Angiò, la cui figlia Giuliana ...
