Nobility crown ColinNoblesse militaire, issue du capitaine Vital de Colin, commandant du château de la Sauvetat, marié vers 1590, avec la fille unique de Jean des Roys, sgr. du Brignon, etc., et de Marguerite d'Agrain des Ubas. Vital, qui s'était distingué en mai 1589, au siège de la tour de St-Christophe, prit les nom et armes des Roys, quoiqu'une branche de cette famille existât en Auvergne. Il fut porteur de la procuration du baron de Randon, aux Etats du Gévaudan (1591). Antoine, assista aux Etats particuliers, ouverts au Puy, le 26 janvier 1615, comme commis du baron de Jonchères et à ceux de 1637, comme envoyé du baron de St-Haon. Mathieu, est cité dans un acte du 4 nov. 1582. Messire Jean, seigneur des Roys, de la Sauvetat, etc., veuf de Marguerite de Genestet, épousa en secondes noces, en 1685, dame Marie-Louise de Pontaut. Autre Antoine, vivait en Velay en 1689. Des chanoines de N.-D. du Puy; deux premiers consuls et un capitaine-général de cette ville (1672-1676-1764); un chanoine de l'église collégiale de St-Paulien (1698). Anne-Marie, épouse de Messire Amable de Veyny d'Arbouse, capitaine de cavalerie, munie de la procuration de son mari, à qui elle avait apporté en contrat la terre de la Coste en Velay, vendit par acte du 3 avrile 1701, à Marc-Antoine de Sigaud, seignuer de Chadrac, (fils de noble Pierre et de dame Marie Colin), des cens et rentes en directe qu'elle possédait au terroir de Chadrac près Le Puy. Noble Raymond, seigneur des Roys, du Besson et Robert - Raphaël - Denis - Jean - Chrysostôme - Sébastien, seigneur du Chomel, de la Beaume , etc., son fils, acquirent par acte du 26 février 1770, d'Armand XXI vicomte de Polignac, tous ses droits seigneuriaux et censitaires sur le lieu du Brignon, moyennant 29.876 livres et 480 livres pour épingles. ...
