Agli inizi del secolo XVI un Paolo divenne sostituto del procuratore reale, suo figlio Gerolamo nel 1534 fu amministratore delle rendite del marchesato di Oristano. Eegli era sposato con una Aymerich e fece sposare sue figlie con rappresentanti di famiglie nobili; si impegnò in speculazioni finanziarie di vaste proporzioni. Quando gli si chiesero i registri dell'amministrazione del marchesato di Oristano, risultò debitore di forti somme al fisco per cui la famiglia ebbe un tracollo finanziario dal quale non si risollevò.
