Antica ed assai nobile famiglia milanese, passata a risiedere in Vercelli, detta Corbetta o Corbetta Bellini e, più anticamente, Bigoni, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, anche in altre regioni d'Italia. Ambrogio, figlio di Melchiorre Cassano e di Francesca Corbetta, nel 1537 ereditò da Gianfrancesco Corbetta, suo zio materno, e ne assunse il casato. Cesare Antonio, marito di Diana, figlia del presidente Zoello, fu padre di Giuseppe-Lodovico che, nel 1682, fece acquisto del Conte Valperga di parte della giurisdizione di Lessolo. In Torino è ancor oggi possibile ammirare Palazzo Corbetta Bellini, un tempo proprietà del conte Giuseppe Corbetta Bellini di Lessolo (1826-1885) che ne curò personalmente la decorazione interna, ed oggi sede dell'Accademia di Agricoltura di Torino.
