Nobility crown D'AllevoAntica ed assai nobile famiglia originaria delle Marche, di chiara ed avita virtù, con importanti diramazioni in Abruzzo, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, anche oltreoceano. Originariamente conosciuta come Allevi o Alleva, essa ebbe culla nella città di Offida ove i suoi esponenti, sin dal XIII secolo, erano iscritti nel catasto comunale quali proprietari di averi. Celebre quel frate Giacomo, offidano, priore del convento degli agostiniani di Lanciano, che portò nel 1280 in Offida le reliquie della Santa Croce, con conseguente incremento di fedeli e devoti a tale culto. In tempi più recenti si distinse il vice-console del governo austriaco nello stato pontificio Giambattista (1798-1879). Nel corso del XVII secolo iniziano a comparire i primi insediamenti in Abruzzo e in particolare nell'aquilano, ove la famiglia si affermò nella piccola nobiltà terriera.
