Nobility crown De RibesNoblesse vellave. Hugon de Ribes fut témoin le 23 avril 1176 d'une acquisition faite par le prieur de Chamalières. En 1181, conjointement avec son frère Astorg, le même fait donation à l'hôpital de St-Jean-de-Jérusalem du Puy, d'une rente sise à Besse et à Montpeyroux près St-Pierre-du-Champ. Astorg, damoiseau, vend en 1282 son fief de Retournaguet au baron de Roche-en-Régnier. Hugues, chevalier, cède en avril 1258, à Guigues de Roche-en-Régnier, avec le consentement de Bertrand, sa femme, et des enfants Genséric, Englantine, Austorguet et Bertrand, tous les droits qu'il avait à Vertaure mandement de Roche. Pierre de Ribes, seigneur de Cusson, était possessionné à Roche-en-Régnier en 1379. Noble Antoine, écuyer, seigneur dudit lieu, marié à Marguerite de la Rochenégly-Chamblas (1500-1537), fut le père de Catherine alliée le 22 mai 1537 à Jean de Chardonet et de Claude de Ribes, écuyer, signeur dudit lieu, époux de Marie de Vogué-Rochecolombe. Vital (1548-1618), rendit hommage en 1606 au baron de Roche. Eteinte avec Marguerite de Ribes, dame dudit lieu, alliée le 25 novembre 1596 à Claude-François, seigneur de Nazat, des Cornets, etc. Un chanoine de St-Georges du Puy (1428); un prêtre bienfaiteur de l'église de St-Bonnet-le-Château (1467); des hommes d'armes. ...
