Il a reçu le titre de comte, par décret du 19 mars 1676 du Sénat de Vénétie, conféré aux descendants de Giulio Dottori, en mérite des services qu'il a rendus dans sa carrière militaire. Il obtint la confirmation de la noblesse par résolution souveraine le 21 mars 1819, et celle du titre comtal en 1829.
