Nobility crown Fay PerautCette maison est du rameau des premiers seigneurs de Fay. Filiation depuis: Pierre, coseigneur du Mezenc, lequel fit diverses donations au monastère de Pébrac l'an 1099. Armand était chanoine et official de N.-D. du Puy (1276); Pons, chevalier de St-Jean de Jérusalem en 1260, grand prieur d'Auvergne en 1294, frère d'Artaud, père lui-même d'Audemard, sénéchal de Beaucaire et de Nîmes (1349), lequel eut pour fils: 1° Guillaume, tige des Fay-Peraut; 2° Raymond, tige des Fay de la Tour-Maubourg. Guillaume dit Coquart, bailli du Forez, Velay et Vivarais, acheta en 1329 de Jean Roussillon, la seigneurie de Peraut en Vivarais. François, son fils, épousa en 1393, Alix de Solignac, d'où: Cliquet, seigneur de Peraut, et Guillaume seigneur de Solignac, marié à Antoinette de Tournon, auteur des branches d'Estables, de St-Romain et de Solignac. La descendance de Cliquet, maintenue dans sa noblesse le 5 juillet 1669, compte: un lieutenant du roi en Dauphiné (1524); un gouverneur de Montpellier (1542); Jean, marquis de Peraut, baron de Vezenobre, chevalier de l'ordre du roi, sénéchal de Beaucaire, capitaine de 50 hommes d'armes, lieutenant-général du roi en Bresse (1595). Éteinte en la personne de Marie-Jeanne de Fay, fille unique et héritière du marquisat de Peraut, mariée en 1716 à Denis-Emmanuel de Guignard, vicomte de Saint-Priest. ...
