Originaria milanese, trapiantata in Venezia in occasione di un'ambasceria mandata alla Repubblica dal Duca di Milano. Nel corso dei secoli vari membri di questa illustre casata si propagarono in diverse regioni d'Italia e vi furono accolti nelle importanti cariche della città dove ebbero dimora. Al dir dei ricercatori e biografi dell'epoca, tra cui: Bagatti-Valsecchi F. - Calvi F. - Casati L.N. - Muoni D. - Pullè L., che nella loro opera "Famiglie Notabili Milanesi. Cenni storico-genealogici, stampato in Milano da A. Vallardi nel 1875.", la quale fiorì in quella repubblica. Se lo speculare valesse nell'Istoria, si ridurrebbe questa in opinioni, che possano essere false, e conseguentemente si verrebbe a si distruggere il principal oggetto dell'istessa che è la mera, e pura verità.
